Tom broke his foot and had to cancel his vacation plans after graduating from high school. Him and his brother Jan entered the EdgeDB hackathon to create an experimental UI builder. They use the T3 stack (NextJS), EdgeDB, and Vercel AI SDK. Given only the EdgeDB Schema and queries that describe to-be-supported features the tool generates fully functional nextJS client components. This points in a promising direction for making UI development more accessible.
